about
Imagine living in a skyscraper 14 hours a day dressed in a disguise of ties and feathers. Imagine being the man at the highest edge of your city for a few minutes every dawn. Imagine losing your ideals in a haze of lies until you forget who you are… “The Big Flaw” is a story about uncertainty, overtime and coffee abuse. A story about life and misbehaviour.
“The Big Flaw” is the first single from Moses Rubin's second LP. Seven minutes of energy, rawness, rock, soul and blues as another evidence of the talent of this band integrated by Moses Rubin, Lete G. Moreno (Ángel Stanich, Aaron Rux, Joe Crepúsculo), Sergio Valdehita (Sidecars, Ivan Ferreiro, Bruna) and Rodrigo García (Tomaccos, Eva Ryjlen); this time with Juno Kotto King on vocals. This song has been co-produced and mixed by José M. Rosillo and mastered by Jacobo Naya (LA MODA).
lyrics
THE BIG FLAW
I wonder why
I ended up enslaved in here
It took me a while
But I rose up against
Steam-powered lies
was all they taught me
‘til I forgot what I’d rather be
I kept on crawling through the days
Struggling back to the beginning
Stuck inside a carrousel
I started losing grip while spinning
Now I’m leaning on a shinning beam
On a fleeting whim of freedom passing
Through the cloudy steam
Losing my ideals
Wayward soul
Your bonus is made from tears
It’s well deserved
Squander it all
We got a deal
We share the burden
Just look around at all the smiles in here
I’ve been losing days while losing friends
I’ve lived among the smokestack sellers
I thought I’d make it through the maze
In my disguise of ties and feathers
I’m looking for a place to live
And for the path that brings me
back to my world
And forget the days at the big flaw
Where have I been?
What have they done to me?
Got to get me back
To where I’d rather be
I gotta live another life that shows me
How to misbehave
‘Cause time belongs to me
I gotta be, I gotta be stronger now
I gotta be, I gotta be bolder now
I gotta be, I gotta be stronger now
I gotta live another life that shows me
how to misbehave
how to misbehave, yeah yeah...
I gotta live, I gotta be, show me now
(You gotta live another life
You gotta misbehave, yeah
You gotta be, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be bolder
You gotta live aother life
you gotta misbehave, yeah...)

Moses Rubin is born from the northern winds that have brought me back to my homeland carrying a rucksack full of songs, experiences, eagerness and the necessity of going it alone in what is my first adventure as a solo artist.
