Steppin' Stones nace de una relación obsesiva con Rubber Soul que coincidió en el tiempo con el 15-M en 2011. A las noches durmiendo en Sol les sucedió un periplo por el número 97 de Rose Street en Edimburgo donde fue ganando complejidad hasta convertirse en lo que es hoy. No obstante, las circunstancias que rodean sus metafóricas y evocadoras estrofas son demasiado estrambóticas como para mencionarlas aquí.

Su producción, con reminiscencias del universo Harry Nilsson y de la despedida de los Beatles, hacen de Steppin' Stones un tema pop de sonido clásico y añejo que rebosa nostalgia en su pegadizo estribillo. Moses Rubin, Lete G. Moreno, Rodrigo García y David Velasco grabamos la base en directo y Sergio Valdehíta remató la faena con un Wurlizter maravillosamente desafinado, que Brian Hunt encontró en un Cash Converters por apenas 200€. Por su parte, los coros made in Ramiro y el Mellotron cósmico de Martí ponen el lazo a este primer tema del disco.

ENGLISH: Steppin' Stones is born from an obsessive relationship with Rubber Soul that went at the same time that the 15-M in 2011. The nights sleeping at Sol were followed by a time at 97th Rose Street in Edinburgh where it developed to the point it is today. However, the circumstances around which its metaphoric and evocative verses were created are so bizarre to mention them here.

Its production, which reminds to Harry Nilsson's universe and to The Beatles farewell, makes Steppin' Stones to be a pop song with a classic and vintage sound that overflows with nostalgia in its catchy chorus. Moses Rubin, Lete G. Moreno, Rodrigo García and David Velasco made the live recording for the song basis while Sergio Valdehíta rounded off the work with a wonderfully flat Wurlizter piano that Brian Hunt found in a pawnbroker's for 200€. On their part, the choir "made in" Ramiro and the cosmic Mellotron played by Martí are the bow to this LP's first track.
